Roofit Solar creates innovative award-winning two-in-one roofs that combine the traditional Nordic rolled sheet metal roof design with cutting-edge solar technology. Thereby helping homeowners all over the world transform their houses into energy-efficient buildings and strengthen the renewable energy production network – without having to compromise on the exterior of their building.
Instead of redesigning fragile (plastic and glass) solar panels to function as roofing materials, Roofit has taken existing and time-tested metal sheet roofs and integrated solar elements on top of them. Metal makes the modules durable enough to walk on and resistant to high-speed hail impacts.
Despite having a truly incredible and innovative product, the perceived value of the company was low. The brand and visual identity didn’t support a modern & upmarket quality image.
Roofit needed repositioning from a solar building material producer to a service provider. Their new main target audience – homeowners – prefer to get everything (system design, solar metal, non-solar metal, installation, permitting, etc) from one place.
Our job was to create a simple, timeless, and flexible visual identity that reflects the company’s strong technological know-how. To add contrast to the overall minimalist aesthetic and to position the brand, a strong orange similar to well-established quality brands was chosen.
Photography guidelines were created that express the brand's obsession with clean aesthetics, architecture & sustainability. A sun ray motive was created inspired by the working principles of the product - absorption of solar energy and conversion to usable electric current.
The strong orange color adds energy to the minimalist visual identity.
