GETTING STARTED
We initiate the project with an initial contact. This is where we delve deeper into your company, your goals, and your dreams.
RESEARCH & ANALYSIS
We do research based on the existing material to find some external inspiration and references. We compare it to other brands who have similar ambitions and challenges, analyze them and draw our conclusions.
EXPLORING THE VISION
Workshops and sprints are vital for mutual understanding. We position the brand, analyze competitors, define the target audience, and uncover the core character and values of your brand.
CREATING A CONCEPT
This is the stage where we shape the imagological side of your brand or product. Our concept is introduced and visualized, offering a glimpse of the creative direction.
DESIGN PHASE
With graphic design, we refine the visual elements of your brand, which may include logo design, typography, color palettes, and more.
BRAND GUIDELINES
We develop a comprehensive brand book, a fundamental guidebook for your project, which aids in creating consistent brand communication.
LAUNCH
The final phase involves meticulous fine-tuning, ensuring all initial tasks and beyond are completed. We offer ongoing support if needed.
PRESENTATION
We're equipped to assemble presentations detailing the journey and results of our collaboration, helping you introduce your brand effectively.
Ülemiste City is Tallinn’s versatile and rapidly developing smart business campus, where more than 12,000 people work, study and live on a daily basis. Ülemiste’s ambition has always been to be a leader, create a valuable environment for local talent to develop, grow and succeed. To express this idea more clearly, Ülemiste needed to update its brand and visual language.
Flexible tools were needed to successfully communicate such diverse topics as a forward-looking conference or a ping-pong tournament. We created a whole spectrum of colour variants and shapes that can be combined according to the type, target group and the desired mood of the event. We created a logo in which a careful viewer can see a coat of arms, the letter Ü and an upward driven movement.
The desire of the new identituy was to preserve the uniqueness of Puänt, including the recognizable yellow color. A new palette was added to complement the main color and add variety. In addition, a well-readable and warm font for Puänd’s typical text-based social media posts was chosen. Illustrations were created for the marketing materials, which, according to the store’s owners, catch people’s attention and successfully attract new book lovers.
The distinctively quirky new logo for Puänt is inspired by books leaning against a shelf wall and stands out well from classical logos.
The European Design Awards started in 2007 with a mission to celebrate European design, facilitate designers to meet, be inspired, and build networks, but also help promote the design discipline to wider audiences.
Traditionally the annual designs for the awards are made by a studio located in the host country. The Estonian Design Center proposed local studios for the competition and after getting to know the designers and their work, the awards team chose us to create this year’s solution.
The aim of theEstonian Association of Youth Workers (ENK) organisation is to develop youth work and the professionalism of youth workers. They work closely with ministries and local governments. However, in order to express and represent its work and goals, the old brand had become outdated.
The brand did not have a unified visual system and the outdated logo did not express their values. In the new visual, it was important to find a balance that carried the values of a serious organization, while maintaining a certain playfulness of youth work. To this end, a friendly color combination was created, a modern sans serif font chosen, and as an accent, a minimalist illustration language added. Line-based illustrations give the visual communication a fresh feeling without overshadowing the message.
The Children’s Literature Center approached us with a desire to update their visual identity, which, as a result of the work of many different designers in recent years, had become too unclear. The brand needed to become consistent without losing its playfulness.
It was important for the client that the recognizable main character from the beloved Estonian children’s books Nukitsamees stays a part of the logo. We modernized the logo by making the character simpler and changing the font, and added an internationally usable version. A key element of the visual identity is a dynamic and imaginative system of illustrations, composed of stylized books and surrounded by abstractly depicted young people. We created a color palette to be used creatively and a clearer font that adds structure.
